i got a new hatchling and i was wondering what its habbitat should look like. so can some one please give me some images of theirs.

This is a link to pictures of Squirt's habitat. I took out the wood and will be removing the rock when I clean the tank in a month. The rock can be dangerous because turtles try to eat it. I'll be putting in a floating plant for him to replace the wood I took out. I also added two bunches of anacharis plants for him to munch on and it helps clean the tank. There is so much information in these forums...check out the gallery there are a lot of baby habitats in there you can look at with many different ideas. Have fun:)

The set-up for a hatchling should be basically the same as that of a larger turtle, with accommodations made for the smaller size.

Glad to hear you took out that wood, squirtsmom. I think Squirt will appreciate the added greenery.

this is my setup for my 3 monther..hes about an 1-1/2+ inches..

and try to give as much water as possible (10 gallons per inch is the minimum) but make sure the turt cannot escape (and considering they are a good swimmer!), a basking spot where they can easily get out of the water, uvb and heat lights/lamps, good filtration, thermometers, some vegetation, maybe a spot to hide out or explore in, and you should be good to go!..and of course you can add things as you go, just so long as the turt cant eat it!..or get stuck in/under it.. check out the photo gallery as well..
