i just looked at my tank today, and noticed that there were little tiny black dotted web-like figures on the corners of the tank (away from the filter). i haven't cleaned the tank in about one and a half weeks, and i have a pretty good filter. i doubt its poop. it looks like bug eggs or something. i cleaned it today and there was a lot of it. i wish i could have taken a picture before i cleaned my tank. i wonder waht it is

How big is the tank and what kind of filter are you using? It sounds like it could be caused by excess debris in the tank that had settled in the corners.

It could be fungus growing on waste or uneaten food/dead bug parts. I've seen it grow underwater before, especially in areas where there's not a lot of water flow. It's best to just try to scrape it off and siphon it out.

Is it under the water or above it? If its above it, it could also be a mold, mildew or fungus issue.

yea, that's what I was thinking of, mold. :) I've seen it grow on decaying stuff underwater too (when I used to have freshwater fish and I neglected the tank for while  ). I don't know if it's really mold but that's what it looks like.
