my uva/uvb bulb went out. i need a new one, and its going to go on the new long tank. there seems to be some controversy on the reptisun bulbs? 5.0 and 10.0?

what bulb will cause me less problems?

You're replacing a tube flourescent? If so, the Reptisun 5.0 would be sufficient for your turtle. The compact flourescents seem to be giving some people problems. From what I've read other have said, you probably would have less of a change of having a problem with a 5.0 as well.

If you're replacing a tube fluorescent, there haven't been any problems reported with either the 5.0 or the 10.0. I have used 10.0's without problems.

Where there have been problems is with the compact fluorescents. You'd better stick with a 5.0 if you're using a compact.
