question about tank size

i know how you say about 1inch- 10gallon thingy i have 2 turtles that are last time i measure were about 4inchs they might be bigger now but so since they both 4inchs does that mean 80gallons? thanks for any info ^_^
edited: oh and how deep should the water be?

Yes, that'd be a minimum of 80 gallons for two 4in turts. It should be as deep as you can make it without giving them means to climb out.

You might also plan ahead for growth and get a bigger tank. When the both get to be 6" (and they will eventually) they will need 120 gallons!

I just picked up one of those rigid black plastic ponds that are made for outdoor gardens. It was only $69 at Leows! It's 79"x55"x18" and holds 100gal. It takes a lot of floor space but it's an affordable option to a glass aquarium. Also the surface area is more important than depth IMO so it's better suited for turtles than an aquarium.

thats so smart i might think about doing that sometime soon
