Habitat - Indoor :: number of filters

i am going to be upgrading to a 55gal. tank very soon. i have a Zoo Med TC-30 turtle filter, and it does an OK job on my 20 gal. but i am wondering if i should get 2 filters for the 55 gallon to keep it cleaner. help?

There are a number of posts on here about filters. I suggest doing some digging to get a well rounded view.

Personally, I have a 75 gallon and I use one filter. I use the xp3 and I love it. Easy to maintain, and it keeps the water clear.

Some people would recommend that you use two and place them at opposite ends of the tank. I think a lot depends on the type of filter you are planning on using.

i would suggest a canister filter fluval series rena xps or eheim(expensive but very good filter)

for my self i have a aquatech 3060 (not the best filter in the world) its like a penguin 350 but with no bio wheel except it has bio pads and it has kept my tank very clean so far but one day i will upgrade to xp3
