I saw in another thread a discussion of the great pricing at a couple of stores, including Petsmart. I wanted to let you know I just bought an XP3 filter from Petsmart for $104. I bought it on-line, paid no shipping, but did pay Texas sales tax.

At the Petsmart bricks and mortar store the price is more than 50% higher than what I paid on-line. I saw the XP3 retailing at a neighborhood pet store for more than double the price I paid.

The price was so good I wonder if Petsmart didn't mess up! Their prices on other things were also very good - heaters, light bulbs - but only IF ordered on-line.

Well, I just saw the XP3 on sale for $90 at Big Al's On-line. At Big Al's I believe you also have to pay shipping, but then you probably wouldn't be charged sales tax (in Texas).

I also suppose I should have put this item in the Equipment Review instead of Indoor Habitat.

Petsmart price matches. So if you were to print that page off with the online price listed, the store would have sold it to you for that price. Something to keep in mind when you make future large purchases there!
