for a hatchling the size of a quarter?

If the holes in the egg crate (light diffuser) is too big what can I put on top of it to make it better?

Usually shelf liner (I like the ones from IKEA) or reptile carpet. You can also some acrylic instead of egg crate.

Can I use the egg crate (light diffuser) DIY ramp..
