Right now, Spots is small enough to fit on the dock I have from the ten gallon tank, and because I haven't been working, I want to reuse it if I can. It's this one : http://www.petsmart.com/product/zoom/in ... d=11147242

The only problem is that I can't figure out how to support it. It has two suction cups that you can see on the end, but nothing on the sides. If it's not resting on anything on the other end, the angle becomes too steep for Spots to climb.

Once I'm working again, and can upgrade, I'd like to use cork bark.

Also wondering if it's ok to use plastic pots in the tank for live plants? I finally decided to wait until we move to add sand, because I don't want to have to remove the sand to move the tank. With just a glass bottom, it looks so...plain. I'd really like a more natural look, just not sure how to get it I expensively. I have some pots that I plan to put on either side of the tank, and add a small wooden trellis behind it that the plants can grow on. But like I said, it's all temporary til we move and then I can do something a little fancier

Wouldn't ceramic do the same? Most are painted. I could use clay pots. I did see another person use the plastic ones, in the basking area sticky, rsour24, it's on page 16.

Thinking out loud...what if I used a piece of PVC pipe to support the end of the dock that doesn't have suction cups? If I bond it with silicone, will it come off if I want to change it? Or is ther some other way to attach the pipe to the bottom of the dock that's not permanent?

Thanks for the suggestion, devil duck. Today I picked up $5 worth of 1/2 inch PVC elbows, pipe and T fitting. I was able to have the PVC pipe cut at the store, and will use the same design to support the current bridge. I also picked up a fake vine to wrap around the PVC. Just trying to decide how to attach it.
