Habitat - Indoor :: Repto-Glo UVB Bulb - Which one?

Should I get the Repto-Glo 5.0 or 10.0 uvb bulb? I'll be using it in a regular lamp dome fixture, so I guess I could use either the 13 or 26 watt? Thanks

How close will the lamp be to the basking area?

I can have as close as 6 inches or as far as 1.5ft.

The 5.0 is affective to 12" The 10.0 is affective to 20" That's the 26 watt ones not sure if the 13 watt ones are the same? I use a 26 watt 5.0. I have also used the 10.0 but kept it further away.

5.0 sounds right. I'm a bit skeptical about the 20" range, even though that's what they have listed on their site. Anyone with a UV meter use this brand?

If the 10.0 version weren't placed 20" away, could it be dangerous for the RES?

No, more likely its out of it's effective/beneficial range.

Im thinking about switching back to the 10.0 they were basking more when i was using it and it was about 14" from basking area.
