New Setup - Need Advice

ok, just set up a new 40 Gallon breeder and was hoping I could get some help here.

I am looking to buy a new UV light and basking lamp. Here is a recommended supplier of aquarium products. Based on their website, can someone tell me which section their UV light is listed? http://www.jlaquatics.com

If you can share a link even better.

Also, I will need a basking lamp as well. Does JL even offer these? Not sure why their website does not list any details, at least not that I could easily locate. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Come to think of it, I can buy from Amazon as well if anyone has suggestions for a UVB light + lamp setup (plus fixture), do share. Still at a lost looking at endless amounts of products!

I don't see any UVB lights on that site. It seems like they're strictly geared for fish who don't bask or utilize UVB lights.

You either need a single UVB/heat source from a self ballasted MVB bulb like: http://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-PowerSun- ... 0002AQDJK/

Or go with a separate florescent UVB light and basking light. The florescent can be tube (better quality) or bulb shaped (fits into standard dome fixtures) and you can have a choice of halogen or incandescent bulbs, which don't have to be made specifically for reptiles or pets.

Thanks for the reply Steve. I have been trying to get the water right before moving on to the next part of lighting and ramp. Now that the water is crystal clear once again (thank goodness!), I will begin to design the ramp and build it. Thanks for your input here.

Water is in the range specific by the internal heater. Now that the water is set up, will get ramp built, and at the same time get water and basking temp right. Can't wait to get another thermometer. Last one broke.
