we cleaned the tank out and cleaned the rocks in the tank last Wednesday and our turtle has not gotten out of the water to bask since then. I've checked the temp and it has been about 75 to 78. we changed the rocks around some but I wound not think that would stop her from getting out. Has anybody had this experience ?

Nothing totally unusual. Is he still eating? What's the basking temperature?

the temp is 75/77 and she is eating. My husband said today that he saw he on her floating bridge for a minute so that is good. I moved it last night closer to her basking area. I hope she will start getting back on the rocks again!

What about an alternative basking area? Rocks take up a lot of room and trap waste. A wider basking area will allow your turtle to move around to thermoregulate.
