Hey guys. I just moved into a new apartment with a big walkin closet where i currently keep my tank. Now theres a large wrap around shelf above the tank and i was planning to build a ramp up to and make a "land" area so my res can have some more room to move around. My question is what can i cover the bottom of it with? Is there a type of mulch or wood chip that would be safe? Im posting from an iphone so i cant upload a pic of what im talking about but im just looking for a safe terrain if someone has a suggestion. Thanks

Plywood with a lil carpet over it works fine.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking something more natural looking though. Would sand be ok since people use it in tanks?

Sand will get dragged back into the tank. Reptile carpet or cork bark would look nice.
