Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Hey guys! It's been a few months since I visited this site (until I forgot my RES password.....)

Here's a brief intro to my two little turtles! I have two RES named Iggy and Mocha, I bought them at a flea market (poor them~) coz I always wanted a turtle as a pet. They've been living in a small guppy tank for the past 6 months on the right corner of my study desk and they only have one street rock for them to bask/hang around which only fits one turtle. And Mocha continuously uses that rock to escape the tank! Since they are growing and the space becomes limited, I decided it's time to upgrade....

VIOLA!!! :D

Here's their new home! It's bigger and complete with a basking lamp! But they still live at the right corner of my study desk.... :P
I still have no luck finding UVB bulbs, there is one place but it's too far away...... :(

Here's more! I wasn't really paying attention when I bought their new tank and didn't realize that the lid was attached to the tank.

I know you guys like pictures, so here's more! :D The basking lamp is an Exo Terra brand, it's the only brand I could find in that pet shop. The bulb is cheap but the light dome is hell! QAQ

This is their basking area! It's some sort of wood I bought at the pet shop. I used their old street rock to elevate the wood from the water. Any suggestions to make a better basking area? You guys have to answer that question coz Mocha is staring intently at you with hope in his eyes!

And here's a side story! I just now that Iggy is a girl and Mocha is a boy! Mocha's claws is kinda long now but Iggy's claws didn't change at all. Recently, Mocha had been trying to do the 'Mating Dance' with Iggy but every time he did that, he would get a free slap from Iggy! Thank God she didn't claw his eyes, or else I'm done for.

If you guys have any advice about their new home, I would be very happy to hear it! :)

Welcome back. Since they still have a lot of growing to do, you should consider bigger tanks to reduce the frequency of upgrades.
