Habitat - Indoor :: Few additions to the setup

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

I initially tried to use some cheap sand from the hardware store which had a lot of little pebbles in it, and I didn't want the turtles to ingest them so I covered it up with some white caribsea sand. This did not go well as my two RES love to dig. So after seeing how nasty the white sand got I to thinking about which would be best and just landed on black. I also decided to put a static cling as a back ground too. Turned out pretty good to me. I also bought a separate tank five gallon tank and filter (still need a heater) to feed them in to keep amount of debris in my fifty five gallon as low as possible.

Next on the list would be a proper ATB and a external filter ( this I will take advice on, if your willing to give it).

Looks good to me. Do they go after the fish in that 5 gallon?

They did not actually. They have been with them for about six months now. I have tried a few different fish and narrowed it down to really fast aggressive fish , survive.

Some algae eaters also can survive. I have a rainbow shark that is bout 5 inches long and is very quick. Mainly have stuck with bigger tetra ( tiger barb etc..)

And thanks steve. Also I have a 55 gallon tank what filter system would you suggest?

XP3 would work well for a 55 gallon.

Thanks. It actually wasn't my first choice. I preferred the white sand but got way to difficult to keep clean.
