Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

I'd like to go ahead and get Angelina a bigger tank sooner than later. I'd like to go used, because I figure I can get a better deal. I just don't know what a good deal would be. I found a 90 gallon with wooden stand on Craigslist for $100.00 (if it is still available). I just don't know if that is a good price or if I should just buy a new one.

I know location will make a difference. I am in WV but close to the Ashland, KY area. My hubby also goes to Columbus, OH once a month, so something from there is an option.

I don't know what's a good deal on a tank, but consider the alternative.
A new tank 90g at my local pet store is well over $200 without a stand.
I'd say that 90g on Craigslist is worth it.

That's a good price if the tank doesn't leak and the stand is nice. A CHEAP 90 gallon stand by itself new is 150-200.

So the guy never responded, so I've been keeping an eye on Craigslist.

I've found a 125 gallon with what appears to be a nice enclosed wood stand for $300. The add says it also comes with some pumps, filters and lights. The guy still has it, and emailed me the diminsions, so I know it is 125 gallons. He states it is nearly new.

I just found another 125 gallon with two heaters, filter big enough to power a 150 gallon aquarium with a UV sterilizer (I know this wouldn't be big enough), a light, a stand. It is $250. I can't see the stand. I've emailed to ask for a picture of it, along with the diminsions of the tank.

I'm thinking if the stand on the $250 tank isn't very nice, I would probably spend the extra $50 to get a nice stand.

Thoughts?

A good solid wood stand that's nice looking is definitely worth the extra $50.
