So i have one Male and Female and she laid her Eggs in late May and June but she's digging around along with the male

i've learned from experience that when the male wants out, then its the night she'll be laying eggs

my question is they live in a 135 Gallon setup basically filled to top a basking area and connected to the soil area which they don't venture to much

in order for her to lay her eggs in soil mixed w/vermiculite, i have to move her to a box but she has never been fond of boxes

my question and i've searched and been a lurker for a while is, can RES Female lay eggs so late into the year?

i was under the impression it is between May-July?...should i be concerned or probably just digging up or scratching their shells which they sometimes do

Female is 9 inches long, a fighter who laid her 1st and 2nd batch or "clutch" i guess in the same year and both male and female have always been healthy since i've had them

any help or advice is appreciated

Having RES indoors means that you can have a gravid female anytime of the year. My female was gravid in December a few years ago. The male is not involved in the egg laying process and can actually disrupt it.
