So recently in my snail growing tank iv had these little worms and these little beatle like bugs swimming in my tank eating the fish food and stuff on the bottom. i cant tell if they are eating all my snail eggs but i was wondering if anyone knew what they are or where they came from.

RED are the worms
YELLOW are the little circle bugs

they are moving and are alive and the little beetle guys swim pretty quick. the worms stick to the sides and just move around like my snails. this happened about a week ago when i went to a friends house for about 2 days and my girlfriends mom fed my fish and snails for me. is it from overfeeding and a bug layed eggs in the water or what? i have not seen any bugs around at all and its indoor and has a filter and all so they dont seem to be effected by the filter. i havnt cleaned out the tank because i have hundreds of eggs about to hatch and baby fish in the tank aswell. any ideas? they are all white colored.

Is this fresh or marine?

If fresh, google planaria
If marine google copepods or amphipods

Fresh. There are hundreds if not thousands of them.

Ya no worry. They usually get in tanks when new fish are added. My 55 which only has a large snail and plants in it is covered by them. It is fun to watch them run for their lives when my snail wakes up.

Are the worms harmful 2 people? Or turtles?
