Pretty simple but boring.. i want to add more as long as Donatello is comfortable with what is added. Any suggestions?

I used to have river rocks at the bottom of my tank but hearing Fred dig around/in them and hearing them scrape across the glass was a little unsettling. I just made the switch to sand and I love it! It's only about 5 dollars at home depot.

You're going to also need a UVB light. An above tank basking area is also pretty cheap to make and will free up some space in your tank. Looks good so far though! :)

Looks nice but a little small.

If you go to www.craigslist.com and go to the pets section you can get really good sized tanks for SUPER cheap.

for 1 turtle a 55-60 gal tank does the job usually. but bigger is always better in the turtle world. and pebbles are MUCH different from sand. see how hard it is to eat a pebble and see how hard it is to eat a grain of sand. sooner or later what ever you eat will have to come out the other end and the pebble may get stuck compared to the sand and that's if the turtle eats the sand. and you can fill the sand up to a few inches that way some good bacteria can get settled in the sand and do the good stuff it does. You can also buy blood worms and stuff like that and just let them dig there way into the sand and they will keep that sand pretty clean. but if you buy them for that reason make sure to remove the turtle for a while to give the worms a chance to dig there way down that way the turtle just dont take them out.

You can get a waterfall filter which is what your using now but whats usually recommended for turtle tanks are canister filters but those can get sorta pricey. did you snag that off craigslist? lol

Get some "egg crate" which is a light diffuser at the hardware store. Trim it to fit your tank and secure it.

For the guy who post this picture. What's the brand of your filter that you are currently using for the turtle's it looks nice and it capture the idea of a falls. which i think turtle's would love. I am from Philippines you think i could buy one of those kind of filter?.

I put a FX5 in my 75 gallon. Your three best choices are going to be the Fluval FX5, the Rena XP4, or the Eheim Pro III

XP4 - least expensive of the three yet a great filter
FX5 - Mid priced filter, holds more media than XP4 so less frequent cleanings
Pro III - Best filter. Quietest filter. Most expensive filter.
