Getting ready to move "Buddy" into a 75 Gallon Tank.....can someone please recommend a filter?

(sorry if this question has been asked...but I can't seem to find a straight up answer.)

A canister filter would be best. I personally run the Rena XP4 on my 75 gallon. Although I think the XP3 would do the trick. Fluval or Eiheim would work well too. Definitely a canister filter though.

Get the biggest canister filter you can afford. If you ever have to move your buddy to a tank larger than 75 in the future, you potentially wouldn't have to upgrade filters any more. I opted for a FX5 on my 75 gal tank for that reason. Plus you can get a sweet deal on fx5's on ebay. Theres a link in the deals section of this forum. Steve found the FX5's for $190 US.

I have 2 Cascade 700 canister filters for mine. Works great.

I'd also toss my vote out there for a Rena XP3

canisters are the way to go. but their pretty pricey. if you want the best results, you take it.
