Hey guys just a quick question.. Im currently working on my new 40gal breeder tank for my babies and just started to wash the sand. Its coming out very nicely so far BUT my problem is I wont be able to place the sand in my tank until 2 days from now and I wanted to know if storing the washed sand is ok?!

Sounds like a stupid questions I know, I thought the same at first but my only concern for storing the sand is If I place it in either a tub or even a plastic bag would it some how get bacteria of any kind or possibly get moldy?! does sand even get moldy? I heard of it before but never saw. I just dont want this over worked clean sand to go to waste.

Any help would be appreciated !
Thanks everyone

I think you will be fine storing it wet, It might get hard but you can make it soft again with some water. But I don't know if it will get moldy or not.

Thanks for the help ranger, hopefully ill be ready to use the sand by tonight.. Ive been doing alot of unpacking at my new place so the tank has been put off for a bit. I just want to make sure the little guys have their new place ready ASAP. If it was up to me, their tank would've got done first :P
