Ok, since everytime I mention this people on this site treat me like I'm crazy or something, I wanna clarify some things about
the Ikea Samla
Image

It's 31 " x 22 ½ " x 16 ½ ", with an astounding 34 gallons of volume.
In Europe it's very popular for termporary (or even indefinite for smaller turtles than res) housing for our beloved pets.
It's not as white as you would think, actully quite transparent, you can see through it, esp. if filled with water.
It's only 14.99 also, quite cheap. I used one when 2 years ago my 75 gal tank exploded due to a fire. It wasn't bad at all.
Also, it's very light and you can move it with ease, empty it and wash it.

I am using this for 2 of my RES now, I am still waiting for them to be transferred to my dad's outdoor pond. I fill them up to 3/4 with a hanging basking platform.
2 RES (Rocky & Runt)
1 Guinea Pig (Momo)

looks like a good starter home for a baby RES should last for some time. After that my suggestion is a stock tank.
