the original light that came with the aquarium hood is in the front for lighting and the clamp lights are behind sitting on hardware cloth

the water is at a constant 80-81 degrees and the basking area is slowly rising to what im hoping will be 90-95 degrees

Looks good! I would probably switch to a different thermometer, those have been known to break open.

i was thinking about that. i moved that one to the basking spot it hopes it would do better there. the one i was using on the basking spot is now sticking to the outside of the tank below the water line. its one of those stick on types.

Those thermometers break easily? My RES likes to bang his against the glass but it had not cracked or broken yet. What are some good thermometers?

cant help you there im thinking about getting two digital, waterproof ones though
