Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Hi guys!! my name is cassie and im new to the whole turtle scene. I just inherited two RES from my boyfriends sister and her boyfriend. From the looks of things I think they were somewhat neglected at times. There are two of them in either a 20 or 30 gal tank and im working on finding a much larger one to accomodate them. I'm wondering if I should separate them also, one of them is MUCH larger than the other one. I havent noticed much bullying but Im just a bit concerned about that since i know they got both of them around the same time. Also, I am a bit of a worry wart about things like this but I saw a reddish spot on the smaller ones shell and got super worried about it, he doesnt seem to be acting very strange but I have only had them since thursday, so i dont really know their habbits very well yet.

Any information on where I could possibly locate a larger tank for cheaper than a pet store? I live in Ct. Also, the tank temp is around 70 degrees, should i look into grabbing a heat source other than the basking light?

Sorry about all the questions, I just want to make sure these guys have a better life with me then they did before!

thanks for any information you guys can offer!!
Cassie :)

If there is a big size difference, please separate them. Can you post a pic of the red spot?

Rubbermaid containers make great temporary tanks, the best deals on glass tanks can be found on Craigslist.

Try to keep the water a steady 75-78F, you'll need a good submersible water heater.
