welcome kratos... no wait. it says khrarados :P

anyway, im not sure. but to tell you from experience and from what i know, fish don't work well with turtles.

how big is your turtle?

most likely, it will be eaten the bigger your turtle is. so watch out and keep a close eye

Cichlids work GOOD with Aquatic Turtles. Im not saying a cichlid wont get eaten but you have a very high success rate with cichlids. I have about 25 cichlids in my turtle tank with 5 turtles and NO casualties what so ever, none of there tells even look messed up. I have also had good success with Tetra's, Clown Loach's, Chinese ALgae Eaters, and Black and Gold Algae eaters. have not tryed anything else yet...

It depends on the turtle. If they're really aggressive then expect a few of them to be gone. If they're peaceful then you can try, not goign to tell you how the outcome is. I had a medium sized koi that was bigger then my turtles in the tank, they didn't try eat them, they just bit him to death and left the body floating there.

You need to get fast Algae Eaters or the regular Pleco's. Pleco's are pretty armored up with there skin and if you get a nice sized one (a little bigger then ur turtle maybe or same size) it should not do much damage. I got my Chinese Algae Eaters when they were really small but now there pretty big and they dont have a bite on them..they are perfect. The faster algae eaters are the Small long Skinny ones...

Chinese Algae Eaters
Black and Gold Algae Eaters

and a few others that look like that that i cant remember the name of.

But convicts work good with RES ^^ thats a Cichlid btw..and if you get a male and a female, your guaranteed to have babys basically...they breed like crazy

I have 3 baby RES and we have a tank full of fish in with them. We have cichlids in there, 2 Oscers, 2 Jack Dempsys and 2 Fire Mouth. They all get along with the gold fish that we have and 2 catfish. We did have a Red Blooded Parrot which is a cichlid too but I watched it grab one of the baby turtles by its leg and drag it to the bottom. I got that thing out of there a few seconds later. The most problem that we have is the oscers eating the turtle food. Our oscers that we have are a regular black and orange and a albino oscer. The black and orange one is more aggressive and bigger than the albino. I thought that if I got the fish when the turtles are babies maybe they won't eat them later because they will be used to them and not think of them as food but I could be totally wrong.

I would suggest getting plecos if you want to clean algae. Common plecos get big but they clean tanks good, but if you want something that works hard and stay small then bristlenose plecos also do their job pretty good. Not all plecos are a like, some 'fancy' plecos only nibble on algae while others swallow it whole. I have a common pleco with my turtles right now since the other one died (it got sick and my turtles attacked). They're pretty smart and fast. Took me forever to get them out of the tank, when you catch them then you might as well use your hands since it'll take forever to use nets.

Chinese algae eaters are survivors. Mine has survived 2 months with a very bloodthirsty alligator snapping turtle, and 7 months with a RES. He even eats off of the slider's shell. I recommend one, but have a small hiding place for them to go if they are being chased.

I had one pleco who had his fins eaten off, and now I have a bigger one who has survived thus far. He poops more than I like though.
