i have some cement blocks i'd like to use to prop up the dock in Pokeylopes tank, however they were sprayed with pesticide a while back, i was wondering if anyone knew a good way to "deep clean" the blocks so they would be safe for Pokeylope. I'm not in any real rush since he's still not in need of deeper water quite yet.

Well when people grow their own vegitables and what not that has been sprayed with pesticide

they use a organic cleaner on them

now i know the cement blocks are not vegies..it still may work the same to get rid of the pesticide?

I think it just might be better to buy some new ones.

Cement affects pH, I believe.

Typically cement or concrete will make water more alkaline. By far the biggest influences are plant and animal respiration and plant photosynthesis.

Those blocks would also take an awful amount of space in tank. What kind of dock do you have?
