Habitat - Indoor :: Condensation

I have had my turtle for close to 10 years now. She is healthy. We just bought a small house. Now that the temperature is dropping we are getting terrible condensation on all of our windows in the house from the tank (75 gallons). We tried to cover it with plexiglass at night when she is sleeping and open it during the day, that isn't working. I don't want to make her sick in the process of trying to fix this. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to fix this?

Is the tank in a room where you can close the door? In the winter I get a lot of condensation on my window from my two tanks, but it's never spread throughout the house. Maybe if you can close the door to the room with the tank it'll help contain it to just that room.

You could also look into a dehumidifier if you find it is a big problem.

I would look into the dehumidifier, for sure. It would be the easiest solution and wouldn't be hard on the turtle or the tank, or you ^^ You'd just have to empty the water container in it everyday.
