Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Ok, so I'm bored and wanted to post something so here goes. The wall Nikos new tank will be going on did'nt have an outlet installed so I had a guy come buy and put one in for me and the wiriring in the house is kinda hinky because it's an old house so the guy just put it on it's own breaker. So aside from a wall light I have plugged in it (new outlet), my cell charger & a nightlight Nikos pretty much gonna have his / her own breaker switch when the new tank gets put in and hooked up on the wall I have in mind which also right above a load bearing wall so the 120 - 150g tank I'm after should be just fine.

The outlet (pictured above) I had installed 50" above floor level so it's easy to get to should I ever need to move some plugs around or have it looked at and not disturb Nikos permanent tank once I get it and it's placed against the wall. Now while some of you may go, hey I only see one available outlet... how are you going to plug everything in for Niko ?

Well the answer is simple... I'll only need the one outlet because I'll be using a digital power center like I have on my geckos tank as well as Niko's temp tank right now. Either way the new 4 plug outlet works out perfect for both me and Niko but more so Niko since he / she will be on his / her own breaker switch.

The link above will show you the timer I bought / have now for all my animals. Now while I didnt have to go and buy one for Nikos new home since Niko is already using one on his / her temp home I wanted to buy one anyway so I could get everything set up and running / cycled before putting Niko in. This way I dont have to disturb the current temp setup to hijack the timer to get the new setup going. I wana ru nthe new setup for a full 30 days before adding Niko to it and it's always nice to have spares laying around any way because one Nikos out of his / her temp home and in the new one I'll have an erxtra timer layin around.

Anyway, like I said I was bored and wanted to post something so if you've stuck with me this far and are now at the end of my ramblings let me just say thx.

Ps; Aside fro mthe new tank I still need to get I've pretty much got everything else for Nikos new / permanent home except for the filter and some small stuff like the MVB etc.

Very cool! I'd love a house designed around the animals! ^_^

Heh, hey, we all gotta start somewhere right ;-p

But ramblings aside I do like the idea that Nikos entire setup will be on it's own breaker aside ffrom the light, nightlight and my cell charger.
