hey guys do any of you have the problem where it takes about 2.5 years just to turn on your light? i forget the size but mine is bigger than 30 cm long and its a uvb light.
I'm guessing you have a fluorescent fixture? Try replacing the starter, they're only $0.99 at the hardware store. Most likely you need a new ballast though and those will cost a bit more. $20-40 depending on where you shop.
