Basking temp confusion

I have a digital thermometer and it just read my basking temperature at 114 degrees. I don't think it's on the fritz because it matched my water temperature at the same temp it says on my water thermometer. It's weird though because when I touch the actual basking platform it feels warm but does not burn my hand, etc. I've also seen my turtle basking quite a bit today. Should I be worried? Thoughts?

Was it directly on the basking area? What is it made of and how big is it?

I check my turts basking temp with a temp gun and get temps like that too. It gets like that at the end of the day from sitting under the lights all day. Pickle likes it, she does most of her basking late just before I turn out her lamp, and I have not seen any adverse effects. I have used the temp gun on her shell and it's not as hot. I think it takes a long time for the surface to get that hot, and she would just jump in the water and cool off if she was getting too warm.

It's a turtle dock (I think zoomed makes it?) It's the smallest one you can by which is huge in comparison to Tilly who is around an inch. But just like Pickle I see Tilly do extra basking at night right before the timer shuts off her light. I have a 75 watt bulb (just a typical house bulb). I was using a 100watt bulb before but I think that was a little too much.
