Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

I've had a hatchling since Friday and I was wondering how much water I should have in her tank. I just purchased a filter that requires about a foot of water and I want to make sure that's not too much. Right now it looks like she's doing ok. I have plants and rocks...and her basking area.

Also...I have a 25 watt UVB light and a 100 watt UVA light...does this sound right?

What size is your tank? Can you post a picture? But give as much water as you can without the turtle escaping. Red ear sliders are naturally born excellent swimmers, so if yours is having no issues, fill the tank up.

Also, what percentage of UVB does the bulb have?

im with chris. fill the tank up but dont underestimate a turtles ability to escape.

and you do need both those lights. the UVB should say 5% UVB on the box
