I made an ATBA for Finny and shelly. The problem is I think they are too heavy for it. It basically needs more support. I'll work on that :D I am also ordering a MVB tomorrow. I tried four petstores and noone had even heard of them before  I'll try to post some pics and would love to hear some feedback. It is a work in progress.
150 gallon tank
Filstar xP 3
2 Maxi Jet 900 power heads
Heater(can't remember size. It's in the pics)
light over water is just a flourescent bulb. It's just to brighten the tank.
MVB
thermometers for water(78 deg) is this too cold?
one at the old basking spot
one in the ATBA(right now it is only 80 deg but hoping to improve that with the new bulb and better way of suspending light...suggestions?)

This is why they needed a new ATBA!!!!

try to drop the temp down to about 74 or 75 if you can. since its an MVB it has both heat and UVB. if you havent already decided on a bulb go with mega ray or t rex. hanging them straight down is the best way to do an MVB. like modlygrape said you could get one of the hooks that hold the hanging plant basket things and hang it from there. you need to take all the rocks out too. your turtles could eat the gravel and it would become impacted and kill them

I thought the water temps had to be around 78 - 80 degrees... thats what I've pretty much always kept Nikos water temps at (80), then his / her baskin temps I keep at around the low to mid 90's.

for a turtle under 4 inches the temperature should be at 78. for a turtle over 4 inches it should be around 74 or 75. when a turtle shows signs of illness though the temp should be at around 80 no matter the size of the turtle
