Habitat - Indoor :: turtle slime?

when my boyfriend cleaned the filter he said he noticed "slime" all in the filter (or something that feels like slime) and now i went to check on it and i noticed more "slime" in the water going into the filter..

any ideas?

Is the slime visible or can it just be felt?

It's not unusual over time for objects to feel a bit slimy (often means it's time for some cleaning). If you can actually see it, it sounds like there's a fair amount of dissolved debris in the water. Is there any algae in the tank?

its visiable you can see things squirming in the filter (it look spermies). there is alge on the basking rock.

You're the person with the 10-gallon tank and an Aquaclear 20, right (I responded to you in another thread)? As I noted, the model of Aquaclear you have is inadequate for a 10-gallon turtle tank. It sounds like a bigger tank and better filter is needed.

yupp thats me. that organism thing sounds discusting. my boyfriend is cleaning the tank now. yay. the filter that we have is used for a 20 gallon tank; we wanted to get it so it can do a better job at cleaning a 10 gallon tank. and yes i do plan on switching tanks.
