:? I am trying to figure out why my water is getting a oily looking film on the top of it. I just did a complete water and filter change a few days ago. And it came back. what is causing this :?:

The oily fil is most likely from the food you feed, its harmless.

It can also be caused by the kind/amount of dechlorinator you use. The stress coat dechlorinator for fish often causes that. I use an Exoterra water conditioner, and always know if I've added a bit too much, because the water will get filmy on top.
