SEEMS THAT ONE OF MY GUYS DECIDED TO MUNCH ON MY FLOATING LOG! CAN THIS BE HAMFUL? TURTS WILL TRY TO EAT ALMOST ANY THING ! THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I SEEN THIS, DIDNT PAY MUCH ATTENTION.IF I DIDNT NOTICE IT NOW 1/4 OF LOG WOULD PROB BE GONE :lol:. DONT KNOW WICH ONE OF MT TURTS ATE IT I KEEP (CHARLIE & LITTLE DUDE) IN THAT TANK--THEY SEEM TO BE FINE SO FAR. GOT RID OF THE LOG! SO OWNERS AND FUTRE BUYERS OF THE LOG! BEWARE!! HERE ARE SOME PICS

Mine bite it but not that far in! Do you have cuttlebone with them?

Yikes! I never used that log before and this is the first time I've heard such a thing. Either way, your turts are probably close to out growing it by now.

yes they out grew it for sure . but catch lildude resting on top once in a while . no logs any more after that.

If its made out of the same thing as the zoomed turtle dock then I would say not to worroy about it. One of my turtles munched on one of the docks and he is fine .

wow i can't believe that!! i had that same zoo med turtle log for my bobbers for a long time, and it was great! he never ate it, basked on it all the time and he would rest inside of it sometimes. it was just a huge thing and i had to take it out of the tank cuz there wasn't enough room. it's crazy to think that they actually make poorly constructed things for turtles....tsk tsk

Don't worry about it my turtles ate half of the zoo med dock and they were fine but if they are out growing it I would get a new basking area
