Yes... give or take a couple of hours depending on your season.

From what I have read, you need to give turtles the same idea of wild life. Most likely a day and night, with about 10-12 hours of light. Just like us, we are up during the day and asleep at night, same with our turtles. I turn my lights on around 8-9 am and off again at 8-9pm. I am not sure if it will hurt a turtle to have lights on all day.

Yes, They need a day/night cycle, just like we do.

I agree with the others, plus if you leave the lights on all the time you will have horrendous algae buildup
