Habitat - Indoor :: Where can i buy a clear stock tank?

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Post Posted: Wed Apr 09, 2008 4:48 am   Where can i buy a clear stock tank?

My 3yr old RES is getting bigger and i think its about time to move him to a bigger tank. I am thinking of getting a large stock tank. Maybe 50-70gallons?

The only problem i am having is that my turtle has been raised since a hatchling in a glass tank. She loves seeing people walk around the house and such. Ive seen stock tanks that are just plastic; but are there any stock tanks that are somewhat see through? And where can i purchase them? Thanks!

I don't believe that they make clear stock tanks.

No clear stock tanks that I've ever seen (they weren't manufactured with the intention of housing turtles, but they do function as good turtle homes).

How big is your 3-year-old RES? A 50-70 gallon stock tank isn't really that big. If you do decide on a regular stock tank, at least a 100-gallon one would be better.

I've seen them at tractor supply co.
Check your local farm and garden stores, that's where they usually are as people use them for livestock and horses and some as ponds.

A bit unrelated, but I saw a beautiful clear acrylic bathtub in an ad once. I couldn't find a price or any other info... but I thought it would make a great tank.
