my turtle is always trying to escape the tank. hes already done it 3 times! falling 3 feet to the floor everytime. first time, he used the floating dock and somehow reached the edge of the tank 5 inches above the dock. then i blocked that way out and he someone found another way out using the dock again. now i took the dock out since i just made myself a above basking area and filled the water near the rim of the tank. so the last time he escaped, he used the inlet and outlet of my canister filter and somehow got him self out of the tank again! i moved the pipes apart. he has a harder time now but he still does it in front of my face! i yell at him and want to punch him in the face. lol jk. how do i stop this behavior?

You don't. Turtles are natural escape artists. If you leave an inch, they'll find a way out. Persistent little buggers. You just need to find a way to keep him in. You can get a screen cover and modify it to allow for a small opening to the basking area. And make sure you put something around the opening to avoid any jump attempts off of the ramp onto the screen. And put a lip around your basking area. Think of anything they might think of. You can also put some pillows around the tank in case he does escape and possibly get a container of soil/sand mixture that you can let him explore every couple days to keep his curiosity under control.
