If you have good water pressure in the apartment I'd 2nd the python idea. I thought the pressure in our house was good enough, but it really didn't work to well (especially for draining). I hook up the python to an outside hose faucet though & it works great!
If you don't have the greatest water pressure I'd suggest going to a home improvement store & speaking w/ someone there about hooking up a length of hose to a sink - or better yet, shower/tub - faucet. I guaranted there will be an easy solution.
