Im building and above tank basking area, and I know that my turt needs both UVB and UVA rays as well as a heat source. I am planning on using the halogen lamp hes got right now in a clip on holder from home depot for his heat lamp, which will give him the UBA or heat... but Im going to replace my canopy hood (Iwont fit with the above platform) with another clamp fixture and flourecent uvb light.... this is my plan... but is there any kind of light fixture or light itself that will give me either one bulb one fixture of two bulbs one fixture.... etc.... Ive seen pics on here of above basking areas that have two fixtures and two bulbs, obviously uba and uvb bulbs.. and some with one light.... are these just uvb light or a special heating kind?

The all in one bulbs are call MVB, and they will provide UVB, UVA, and HEAT. They get VERY hot, so make sure your fixture, can handle the wattage. Also, make sure it doesn't overheat the basking spot. Here is a link to the one I use...

100 watt T-Rex Active UV Heat MVB...

when i upgrade to my 150gal im going to have a hanging dome lamp right in the center of the tank. The light would be MVB so i need only 1 bulb and will be kept about 1' away from the basking area but right aboveit.
