I wanna get one, i have 5 baby RES right now. are Western painted turts good to mix with? and does anyone know a good place to one?

if you mean putting all (what will become 6 turtles) thats way to many in the same place. if you were to do this you would need a HUGE tank, especially down the road when they become bigger. not only would you need a lot of water for them to swim in but you will have to watch them for aggression as you will more than likely need to split all these turtles up into there own tank.
also if you get a new turtle you will have to do the quarantine period with him in a different tank also.
i'm not saying dont get the turtle, or anything just letting you know that you already have a LOT of turtle to care for, and if you can give each and everyone the proper amount of water,food etc. then thats great.

the thing about putting anything in with a red-eared slider (even other res) is that they might become aggressive at some point and start biting the other turtles. As far as I know the painted turtles aren't really aggressive, so if you wanted then you could get like 2 or more of those and put in their own tank (if it's enough room for all of them). But res usually end up each needing their own space.
