Habitat - Indoor :: HELP ASAP, new baby!

I have a 95 gallon tank with 2 adult turtles (one 5 inches and one 7 inches). Do you think that I can have my new baby hatchling who is 1 inch in with them or will they eat him?

Please let me know asap as we would like to get him in a tank!

Not a good idea. Get yourself a cheap rubbermaid container until you can get the little guy set up in a real tank, but there is a very good chance that he'll be injured in with the big guys. They might not intend to hurt him, but they're so much bigger and stronger that there's a chance he could be badly scratched or even crushed.

I'd say definitely do not put them in the same tank. The bigger turtles could easily kill the little one. Turtles can be quite aggressive towards one another, especially when a new one is introduced into an existing habitat with established turtles.

In addition to the above points, you should always quarantine new turtles for at least 90 days to determine any illnesses in either the new or older turtles.
The size difference really is too big to safely introduce them at this point.

Okay. Thanks for the advice. I am a great turtle owner but never have owned a hatchling.

We moved our goldfish out of our 20 tall gallon tank and now it is the home of the hatchling.
