I am wanting to make an above water basking area for Turbo. I was wondering if some of you could post pics of yours so that I could get a good idea where to start.

Do you mean above the tank? (sitting on top of the tank) Or a floating one?(inside the tank)

Here is my basking area I built recently out of scraps laying around in my garage. I had to upgrade from the old one because; 1. it was getting a little to small for Tank, and 2. Tank was not allowing Diesel to bask with him, he would just shove him off the dock. This is just temporary, until I can build something a little more easy on the eyes, if you know what I mean...

Here is the old dock...

Here is the new one

I made little "guards," just in case (lol I popped a hole into one of the input hoses while I was installing one of the "guards," that was a fun, $30.00, new hose!!!...

Here is the over-hang, so it can't slide off, without having to first lift the whole thing up(notice the small gap inbetween the boards, that was because I cut the main "basking board" too short)...

And here are the lights, two T-Rex 100 watt floods, in 300 watt lamps, and a reptisun 5.0...

Ohhhh, your turtles don't climb that "fence"?? Mine would be over that thing in no time.

It looks really nice though, they have so much room up there! I would use plexiglass or some though.

I have not seen then try to yet, but yes I think that they will be able to climb it, so I bent the top over, hopefully it will hold them in, until I can get the real one put together...

Ahh, good idea. hehe, if you put electricity to it, then it would be like a little turtle prison.
