live plants?

what is a good amount of live plants for my RES to eat? I put 2 in last week, about 6 in tall, and they eat it all in like 3 days. my RES are 4 - 41/2 in long. i want to put more but don't want to overfeed them.

What kind of plants did you put in? When I feed something like anachris, I put a stalk or two in for that day. The next day I give a different kind of veggie and alternate different types of plant matter daily.
