Habitat - Indoor :: automatic feeder

i'm once again at college and i brough my turtles with me but the only issue is over the weekend i'm back home for work and i have no way to feed them. what brand of automatic feeder do you suggest for two days max consecutive feeding?

If it's just two days your turtles should be fine so long as the lights are on a timer. But if you want an automatic feeder make sure you buy one that can hold pellets not just flakes because a lot are designed for fish food and will clog with pellets.
I don't have one so I don't have any brands to recommend, sorry.

If it's just two days I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe put some aquatic plants in or a large clipping of lettuce before you leave.

Meg, is it necessary for turtles to recieve UVB/UVA everyday? Wouldn't they be ok for only two days? Correct me if I'm wrong, though

Since a timer is so easy an inexpensive, it would be best to leave the lights on a timer and not deprive them of the good light. I assume it will be two days every week that they are left alone, not just two days one time. There will have to be power to the tank during the weekends for the water heater and filter, might as well have the lights too. The feeding, though, should be ok if they have to skip two days and get fed the other five.

I just bought another timer from target yesterday, it cost four dollars. So get one for your lights and you should have to worry about feeding them, as long as you feed them before you leave, and once you get back, it'll be even better if you leave some aquatic plants Kevin said.

You think so? I've had the lights hooked up to a timer from the start since I have a sporadic schedule and didn't want to screw with their internal clocks by turning the lights on or off at 4am. I just feel so guilty leaving them like that. I plan to keep plants in there while I'm gone. But still.
