Habitat - Indoor :: I need help building a ramp

My turtle now is in a 10 gallon but since he has grown I am fixing to move him to a bigger tank. Now I have a floating dock but he is almost to big for it and I like the out of tank dock areas that are built on the side of tank. What is the best way to make one of these and what is best to use to make the ramp for him to climb up on??? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The best thing to do is to build a box that will rest on the top of the tank and you can use your dock that you have now as your ramp. There are lots of examples of over tank basking areas that people have made on this site.
