don't put anything in your tank that you don't want to see your turtle eat because they will try guaranteed

i probably wouldn't care if they ate them really.
but the snails wouldn't hurt them or anything would they?

snails... nope.. good source of calcium for the turtles. Just remember they count as a protein group and should not be a staple food.

Snails sometimes play with the turtles and hang on their backs, it's funny to watch :D

some feeder fish. NOT GOLDFISH.. they are too fatty. Some people use redhead minnows...(i think) tetras... guppies...

i dont think they'd eat the fish right away beacuse they're so small and if i kept fish in there is it ok if the turtles eat the fish food?

there is another thread about this..... if they eat a piece or 2 it should be no prob. Kokoro likes to eat the fish food too. So when I feed the fish I make sure she is basking or I take her our and feed her at the same time in a separate container.

Sure. My turtle eats the fish food for the fish sometimes, too. I actually have to put in more food so the fish get a fair share! LOL

When i have fish in my turtle tank I don't feed them, they just eat the leftovers from Leo. If you do get snails just be aware that if they start breeding you're going to have quite an infestation on your hands, and once they get in your filter they're pretty tough to get rid of. A few people have had problems with snail overpopulations.

i figured i'd just get one at a time incase they do start to breed.
