A quart is about $12 USD. No brushing. It runs like water. You clamp the two pieces, the applicator is like a needle. You run a bead at the joint, it will flow into the joint and it's bonded and completely cured in like 3-4 minutes. Google weld on 3 or weld on 4.
i believe the weld on is what i used. i think it was like $7 for a small can of it. then youll need to buy the aplicator which is a small squeeze bottle with a metal needle like tip.
has anyone had issues with there water taking a long time to clear when they added playsand? i put 50lbs of play sand in when i filled the tank and after three days the water is still cloudy. its definatly clearing up but really slow.
Did you rinse it? What kind of water polishing media did you use in your filter? I used a fluval 305 stuffed full of filter floss, 50 lbs of pre washed play sand and my tank was cleared in a few hours.
rinsed it a little. probably should have done it more. i have a carbon filter pad in the tray of my wet/dry. the reason i ask is i have used sand from the aquarium store without rinsing and it never took this long to clear up. this is my first time using the play sand.
Play sand is dusty.. needs a thorough rinse. You need some water polishing to remove the sand particles from the water column. Either a polishing pad or the el-cheapo way... go get a bag of polyfill from a local retailer. Polyfill is pillow stuffing is also called filter floss. Take the carbon out, it's not doing much at this point for the sand. Stuff a bunch of polyfill in the filter and let it trap all of the sand particles.
Heh.. I'm trying to sell my MB Quart Q series speakers, a JL 12W7, three MB Quart Q series amps, and a bunch of Alpine gear to fund a new Manley Stingray integrated tube amp for my house. I was into car audio for a while also
any reccomendation on plants? my plan is to do a mixture of fake and live plants. that way if they eat the live ones the fake ones will still fill the tank until i replenish the live ones.
