Poz, is your turtle a male or female? If its a male, you could get a 90 gallon and will probably never have to upgrade the tank again.

If you look hard enough you can find some really good deals on craigslist.com. I got my 90gal for only $75 and it came with an under tank heating pad. I cleaned the glass with some vinegar and hosed it off and it looks like a brand new tank! :D I also tested it by filling it all the way with water (outside of course) and let it sit for a few days and there were no leaks. The guy who sold it to me thought there might be a small leak because he was using it as a saltwater tank. I think he just saw some salt creep around his filter and assumed the tank was leaking. :? It works for me though! :D

Yes I believe he is a male. I found a 55 gallon tank for $136 or 75 gallon tank for $166. But I only have a dresser that is 18 inches wide and that is exactally the width of the 75 gallon tank. Just a tiny tiny bit might be off of the edge so I dont want to risk that.

thanks davidy! well if you want to just go with the 90 or 100 gallon tank or even a little bigger then you could get a stand and the whole shabang with confidence that upgrading isn't in the future. it's a thought.
