Yea, that's the one. I went out and bought the whole series DVD set. It includes all the episodes that were aired on TV plus 3 additional episodes that never were shown. It really stinks that they canned it. The Serenity movie was excellent too. To bad they killed off the funny pilot guy...Boy are we off topic or what? lol!

heh, i really don't mind as long as no one else does.

yeah they can a lot of good shows before they really have a chance to become anything. i was upset when they did away with point pleasant, but very happy when they came out with the dvd set complete with the unaired eps. i'll probably be buying serenity and firefly when i have the money to spare.

Why do you have two lamps?
Isn't the other lamp too far from the basking area?

Faithin_felix, one lamp is for UVB the other is for UVA, which is just heat (if you dont have a UVB light, i suggest you get one ASAP.)

the other lamp is uvb. uva in the basking spot, uvb on the other side. i put it that way to keep the tank bright, but hold on to a darker spot so they'd have a ''natural" hiding space.

i've not seen them use it, but i assume they are. earlier today i put the reptitreats up there and they're gone now.

faithin, having two lights is the norm. One for UVB (the UVB lights also provide UVA) and one for heat. Since the UVB lights are flourescent, they are cool. One the other hand, an incandescent (hot) bulb can't provide UVB. That's why you have to have the two.

If you have a very large tank, 55 gallons or up, you can use a mercury vapor bulb (MVB), which truly is an all-in-one. With an MVB you only have to have one bulb, but the MVBs are pretty pricy and you have to have a good ceramic fixture for them since they get so hot.
