lol, i know sneaky, i was just thinking though, if you can get a dry "outside" area for them to be able to lay in, and simulate real environment.... I'd just see all the sweet things i could do...

I do like that drain idea though!

Sneaky, if you dont mind me asking, how much is it going to cost for the tank? (other construction costs not included) Thats absolutely amazing. Now you arent gonna want to move EVER lol. Too bad it cant be put on the second floor. I seen this show one time these people had a swimming pool on the second floor, and on the first floor you could look up through these windows, kinda like skylights, and see everyone swimming.

there is no tank involved. its just going to be custom constructed. as far as moving, im not gonna be moving in a long time. my parents plan on living in this house for another 10 years or so, then moving out leaving me and my brother the house. as for pond on the 2nd floor. lol. its def. a no bueno. no enough support to hold a few tons of water. dont wanna wake up one morning, walk down my stairs and have a pond fall through the second floor lol. but yes. like you, i think this pond will be amazing once finished. i am very eager!

thw whole entire new addition should or at least is said to be totally finished by christmas time which includes the pond. so if that being true, the pond should be done within a few weeks.

With a pond like that, you could have a LOT of turts. Turtle paradise! :)

UPDATE:: as far as a basking area for this pond of mine, i pitched the idea of building a little island in the middle of the pond, covering it with various plants. gonna add a fake tree in the middle so i have somewhere to hang a basking/uvb light.

That is a fantastic idea for an upgrade - an indoor pond right smack in the middle of the living room! (Will it be a living room or a den?)
